Ballet of Peace – Swan Lake

The romantic love of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette will come again to Poland. "Swan Lake" - the most famous and liked ballet creation in the world to the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky will be presented by The Ukrainian Ballet of Peace, featuring the world's leading dancers.  Ukraine and every branch of life of this country are experiencing enormous difficulties due to the prolonged war. The nation does not give up, and wherever possible, it carries a message of peace. Such is also the case with the Ukrainian Ballet of Peace today. Applauded worldwide, the artists remind of Russian aggression at each performance, raising the blue and yellow flag to the final applause as a sign of solidarity with the fighting compatriots. It is a special moment at the end of the performance, and this moment is accompanied not only by standing ovations, but also by great emotions. The Polish audience will certainly enter into the spirit of the same feelings during the tour of the Ukrainian ballet, which will be presented in our country in February 2024.

A magical combination of drama and tragedy, as well as the eternal struggle between good and evil - this is a story told through dance in the world's most famous ballet, "Swan Lake". The story takes place in a splendid palace ballroom and by a lake illuminated by the moon, with swans swimming in perfect formation.

 Thanks to beautiful costumes, fantastic stage design and decorations, the classic ballet will come to life again. In addition, the characteristic and well-known music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky will make the performances magical.

The Ukrainian Ballet of Peace was founded in 2006 and is a group consisting of thirty-one Ukrainian dancers, two dancers from the Czech Republic and one Italian dancer, together with a technical and support team that comes entirely from Ukraine. The double role of Odette and Odile is played by Kateryna Floria, the first soloist of The Ukrainian Ballet of Peace. She has won numerous awards across the globe and has been known for her incredible footwork and graceful movements. The artistic management of the company is held by Aleksandra Fedorina, who has received numerous awards for her contribution to the development of the national ballet of Ukraine.

For years, the highest recognition of the audience, who have come to the performances of the Ukrainian ballet, has been aroused by the staging of "Swan Lake". On February 12-19, 2024, the timeless performance will be presented on seven stages in the following Polish cities:

February 13 – Centennial Hall, Wroclaw 

February 14 – 3mk Arena Ostrow, Ostrow Wielkopolski 

February 15 – ICE Cracow Congress Centre 

February 17 – Wytwórnia Club, Lodz

February 18 – Centrum Spotkania Kultur, Lublin 

February 19 – CKK Jordanki, Toruń
