The Italian trio Il Volo needs no introduction – their exceptional voices, incredible charisma, and ability to merge classical and modern music have won the hearts of millions of fans worldwide. Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble are returning to Poland next year and will perform in the stunning setting of the Centennial Hall in Wrocław, creating an unforgettable evening filled with musical emotions. This will mark the seventh meeting of Polish audiences with the charming Italian trio, but their first performance in the capital of Lower Silesia.
The trio began their journey in 2009 as teenagers competing in the Italian children’s talent show “Ti lascio una canzone” on RAI 1. There, they were discovered by Michele Torpedine, the renowned producer and manager behind the careers of Andrea Bocelli and Zucchero. Together, they performed the Italian classic “O Sole Mio,” and it was a perfect match. Soon after, Il Volo became the first Italian artists to sign with a major American label, Geffen Records. Their debut album, released in 2010, went platinum and made it into the top ten of the Billboard charts in the United States, all before any of them were 18 years old! The trio quickly gained international recognition, appearing on major European and American TV shows such as The Tonight Show, American Idol, and Good Morning America. In 2010, Il Volo was the only Italian artists to perform in the charity recording “We Are The World for Haiti,” alongside stars like Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Bono from U2, Usher, and Natalie Cole. Their career skyrocketed, earning them two Latin Grammy nominations and opportunities to sing with legends like Barbra Streisand, Plácido Domingo, and Eros Ramazzotti. They also began recording new songs and albums, both in classical and pop styles, and for their fans in South America – also in Spanish.
Il Volo has already released thirteen albums to date. With their album “Notte Magica,” dedicated to The Three Tenors and recorded with Plácido Domingo, they visited Poland twice in 2017 and 2018. The following year, they returned to our country to present their album “Musica.” After a pandemic-induced break, Il Volo performed in 2022 at Atlas Arena in Łódź, showcasing their greatest hits alongside selections from their album dedicated to Ennio Morricone. In 2023, they returned to TAURON Arena Kraków, leaving fans in awe. During their most recent concert at Atlas Arena just a few weeks ago, Il Volo performed tracks from their newest album “Ad Astra.” Their final words, “See you soon,” left fans filled with hope and excitement. Today, those promises are becoming a reality! The concert in Wrocław is not only an opportunity to hear Il Volo’s greatest hits, such as “Grande Amore,” “Il Mondo,” “Nessun Dorma,” and “Un Amore Così Grande,” but also to experience their latest sounds. The recently released single “Tra le Onde” has only heightened fans' anticipation worldwide, and in Poland, it has sparked immense enthusiasm among their dedicated followers eagerly awaiting another live performance.
